Course aims
This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop the confidence to deliver a specialist subject more effectively.
Course length
65 hours, 13 weeks 5 hours per week in class
Who is this course for?
This qualification prepares learners for employment and supports them to progress to a teaching role within the workforce.
Entry requirements
All trainee teachers joining this qualification programme should undertake an initial assessment of skills in English, Mathematics and ICT. You must have English at level 2 or above before starting this qualification, and you will be advised to work towards GCSEs.
Course content
To be awarded the NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits:-
This course consists of three units. You will learn about:
- the different roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- how the different approaches of using inclusive practice in teaching and learning environments
- how about the assessment process in education and training
- how to plan, prepare and deliver a micro-teaching session
Will I gain any qualifications?
You will gain an NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) and allow you to progress onto the Certificate in Education and Training (CET)
Interview and initial assessment
You will need to complete a written assessment and undertake a one to one discussion prior to enrolling onto a course. This is mandatory for all learners.
