Essential Digital Skills
Do you need to learn new IT skills or show what you've already got?
It is estimated that one in five adults lack foundation skills in digital technology.
We all use IT everyday for work and for leisure but sometimes it's not quite so easy to prove what you actually know. Our short IT courses will teach you new skills and expand on your existing knowledge.
At the end of the course you will have a certificate that will open doors to employment opportunities.
Essential Digital Skills - Entry 3 Award (45 Hours)
This course provides basic computer skills and enables learners to use online searches and shopping sites as well as government sites for public services. It includes learning how to create, edit and save different types of files such as text documents, image and video files.
This course is Free of charge if you have not previously gained an IT qualification at this grade or above.
Essential Digital Skills - Level 1 Award (60 Hours)
This course provides learners with increased levels of basic IT skills to develop further knowledge, skills and promote safe internet behaviours. Learners use a variety of popular Microsoft applications to create, edit and save different types of files e.g. text documents, spreadsheets and photo slideshows.
Completion of these courses will improve your general IT competence and give you more confidence in engaging with computers, mobile technology and internet services.
This course is Free of charge if you have not previously gained an IT qualification at this grade or above.
