Get comfortable with numeracy
What is Multiply?
Multiply is a new national project to help adults brush up on their number skills and take the fear out of using numbers in everyday life. If you are over 19 years old and have previously achieved less than a grade C/4 in maths, your course will be FREE.
Multiply aims to develop traditional maths skills such as addition, multiplication, division, subtraction, fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as the number knowledge to confidently deal with budgeting, managing personal finances, cooking, or helping children with homework.
I've always had anxiety doing maths, but I got better as I did more!
Corrine - Multiply Learner
Why is Multiply different?
If you have previously had a bad experience with maths at school or in education, Multiply is the perfect way to return to learning. You will be brushing up existing numeracy skills while developing new ones. You will be learning with other adults at a similar level through innovative and relevant learning experiences in a supportive and respectful learning environment. Our teachers create a learning space where it is okay to make mistakes and they also ensure that no one will make you feel uncomfortable while learning.
How does it work?
Throughout the academic year, we offer short five or six-week courses that help our learners develop key skills to make maths and numbers easier. We are so confident we can help you enjoy learning numbers again all our Multiply courses end with a skills check. This means that you are ready to progress onto a maths course at the right level when you want to work towards getting a qualification.
At BAES we pride ourselves in offering unique Multiply courses and workshops throughout the year, in many community venues that increase the levels of life skills and maths when you are ready to start learning.
