Course Overview
Performing Arts - Beginners / Intermediate
This course is aimed at Beginners / Intermediate with little or no experience with performing arts.
This course will give learners the opportunity to explore different elements of Performing Arts such as dance/movement, music/singing and acting/drama in a safe environment.
Learners will develop an understanding of how use their voice and body to express themselves and communicate effectively. While exploring different art forms we also search to identify any personal barriers to learning while focusing on the goal which is to increase confidence and self-worth.
Materials needed for first lesson: All resources will be provided. Learners are encouraged to attend the lessons in clothing that are comfortable to move around in.

Interest in performing arts and a willingness to experiment and try new techniques. There are no formal entry requirements.
Career pathways
If you are looking to start a career in performing arts the work created during these courses can be a start to accessing Further Education courses in Drama/Music or to get involved with local theatre groups. Our tutors can help provide information and guidance about this pathway.
