Learning a language comes with an extra challenge for Howard because of a speech impediment.
This difficulty sometimes means he needs a bit more time to answer questions in class. However, his desire to succeed, and the trust he has in his fellow learners means he has the confidence to take his time before he speaks. When he does answer, he is invariably correct in his response.
Howard has been studying French at Brasshouse for over 6 years starting at Beginners Plus level. During the COVID shutdowns, his desire to learn never wavered, continuing to attend online classes before returning to the centre. As a result of this long-term commitment, he is now nearing completion of the Lower Intermediate level.
Howard is a very motivated learner who exhibits a real love for the French language. He visits France regularly with his family, and we are sure he has the confidence and language skills to put his learning into practice and is be able to converse with locals.
He is a very dedicated learner in all aspects of the course, always completing work on time and to a very high standard. He is patient and thoughtful, with excellent recall for any new language he has been taught. He is confident in class and does not hesitate to ask questions.
Howard intends to progress onto an Intermediate level class in September. We hope that he continues to enjoy his language learning and immersion into the French culture for a long time to come.
